Hi! Were Rapid7s Digital & Web Strategy team. Digital experience and website optimization mean the world to us. To that end, were looking for a new member of our team to help drive forward our most important asset -- rapid7.com -- continuously looking for ways to improve the experience of visitors on our website. It starts with day-to-day collaboration with the content and product marketing teams to ensure prospects and customers get an amazing first (and second) experience of Rapid7. It continues with improving the visual experience, optimizing our live chat, running AB testing campaigns, and strategizing personalization plans. If youre passionate about websites and nerd out about UX, technology, and marketing strategy, youll fit right in.

What youll be up to

  • Own our approach to testing, optimization, and personalization

  • Identify and propose new opportunities for the website roadmap

  • Build wireframes and UX requirements

  • Own our live chat strategy, building playbooks to encourage engagement and conversion

  • Collaborate with our digital marketing team to fully understand web metrics; adjust strategies as needed to drive traffic and conversion

  • Support demand generation team with more complex Marketo landing pages

  • Help adapt and evolve our strategies based on meaningful learnings and metrics

  • Partner with designers, developers, and content writers to ensure initiatives are completed on-time and on-strategy

  • Manage strategy, design, and development for event landing pages, such as user events and conference parties

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify, scope, and prioritize upcoming website initiatives and projects


  • Our main requirement is that you are passionate about websites and thrive as part of a collaborative team.

  • Were looking for aptitude more than specific skills -- if you have 5+ years of experience working with web technologies, and at least half of the following, wed love to chat:

    • Experience using a content management system (CMS), such as Sitecore, Wordpress, Drupal, Episerver, etc.

    • Experience with a marketing automation tool, such as Marketo, Pardot, Hubspot,etc

    • Experience with Google Tag Manager, Adobe DTM, or another tagging tool

    • Experience with Google Analytics or another web analytics tool

    • Experience with Optimizely or another AB testing tool

    • Experience with Hotjar, SessionCam, or similar tool

    • Experience with Drift of another live chat tool

    • Experience with Jira and Github

    • An eye for design: you know the principles of good design and have opinions

    • An understanding of web technology: you know whats possible, and what may take a lot of work.

    • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects

    • Coding knowledge: we use Sass and jQuery, and depending on the site, .NET or nodeJs with handlebars.

    • A sense of humor and appreciation of GIFs (Actually, these two are required.)
