Tripadvisor: Head of Global Marketing Solutions

Tripadvisor is seeking a Director of Global Marketing Solutions to lead a very motivated team that includes pre and post sale markers, creatives, producers, and writers to ensure revenue-driving ideation, content creation, and performant execution which helps advertisers achieve business outcomes. Serve as a leading resource on the front-line of Tripadvisor Sales Marketing efforts through marketing, promotion strategy, and custom content creation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the fast-paced and exciting media landscape and want to celebrate it through many creative outlets. They must possess a sophisticated design aesthetic, a keen understanding of the digital landscape, a knack for storytelling, passion for marketing wizardry and an underlying interest in travel.

WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Oversee the Marketing Solutions and Creative Services team that drives Sales Marketing support as well as custom content creation as they:

    • Find solutions-based ways to grow advertising revenue by collaborating with numerous internal constituents and external parties to develop appealing and profitable proposals for advertising clients.

    • Pioneered first-to-market programs with brands across all major verticals, ranging from automotive, to QSR, to beverage, apparel, entertainment, retail, technology, telecomm, and more

    • Collaborate on a marketing plan that amplifies the benefits of Tripadvisors ad platform and increases visibility with agencies, brands, industry partners, influencers and others

    • Join select high value brainstorms and support Pre-Sales Marketing on sales efforts

    • Work with content creators to ensure Branded Content retains brand voice and quality

    • Support B2B marketing team to ensure we have materials critical to the sales organization, including pitch materials, category reports, one-sheets, media kit, product updates, competitive insights, and sizzle reels

    • Act as a key partner to the Training and Enablement team to ensure training materials map back to messaging and value props

    • Socialize case studies for campaigns and products across LOBs and look to socialize them externally and internally

    • Track regional and category revenue insights, ensuring teams are supported with appropriate materials that address specific market needs and strategies

  • Partner directly with the Senior Leadership of Tripadvisors Marketing, Revenue, and other Business Teams

    • Harness and nurture the look-and-feel of established brand identity while generating new and innovative ways to push the creative limits

    • Practice and preach innovation and creative excellence

    • Synthesize Revenue and Research learnings for our key stories to tell in partnership with analytics

    • Maintain current brand assets and marketing tools

    • Develop a deep understanding of the parameters of our brand guidelines which map to learning and development tools

    • Further the custom content offerings to drive incremental revenue

    • Work closely with product development, editorial, business development, operations, and sales to proactively assess demand and opportunity for new products and revenue

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates should have experience developing and executing full omni channel strategies for marketers

  • Seasoned experience pitching marketing programs to diverse, global agency and brand executives - and cultivating collaborative relationships from ideation to execution

  • Demonstrated cross-functional skills in working with brand marketing, business development, engineers, designers, product developers, producers, etc.

  • Candidate should have experience assessing and understanding team/organizational needs, balancing trade-offs, and designing orgs effectively for future scale and operational efficiency

  • Manage profitability of programs with revenue operations and finance

  • Demonstrated experience leading a global team of on-site and off-site direct reports

  • Knowledge of G Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Keynote on a Mac platform

  • Knowledge of Wordpress, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, HTML, and CSS and an appetite for expanding digital offerings

  • Must have a network of relationships with third-party companies, talent, and vendors to produce content, such as videographers, photographers, designers, copywriters, stylists, musicians, tastemakers, etc.

  • Extremely organized, have the ability to efficiently learn about new techniques and technologies and be able to adapt to changing priorities

  • Exceptional type and layout skills

  • Understanding of Comscore Analytics and IAB Ad Guidelines

  • Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work

  • Demonstrated history of results-driven approach through good follow-up and follow-through in an extremely competitive environment

  • A good balance of pie-in-the-sky imagination and pragmatic hands-on ability

  • A healthy obsession with emerging trends and web innovations that the candidate shares with the team.
