As the Director of Clinical Project Management you will work cross-functionally with the Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Clinical Informatics, Engineering, Technical Solutions, and Data Science teams to drive the scoping and execution of new projects. You'll report to the Senior Director of Project Management and will play a key role in strategic planning, implementation, and operational oversight to enable OM1s success and growth.


  • Act as the key relationship manager for assigned clients; recommend courses of action regarding client management issues; implement plan following approval by senior management
  • Supports management of resources for the department including proactive identification of resourcing needs, monitoring FTE workload in relation against billability expectations, screening and hiring of candidates and establishing comprehensive retention strategies to keep staff motivated and productive
  • Serve as the liaison between our clients and internal teams, ensuring high quality, on-time deliverables, pro-active communication, and efficient issue resolution
  • Create and deliver client-facing materials, including presentations, agendas, minutes, and reports
  • Provide cross-functional internal teams with the information and tools needed to ensure their ability to launch and support projects both initially and throughout the project duration
  • Understand contractual obligations to each client and ensure those expectations are met (with the goal to exceed), while minimizing unnecessary scope creep and ensuring efficient resource utilization
  • Support departmental expectations, policies and regulations through the establishment of formal processes, working practices, templates and tools that result in standardization, documentation, creation of libraries, training presentations. May work closely with the QA department to create, revise and finalize corporate levels SOPs and working practices
  • Work with the Product Management team in providing product feedback and input to guide product roadmap, especially as related to projects in new therapeutic areas
  • Establish, as necessary, and manage processes, key performance indicators, and quality standards to ensure optimal client service and operational quality and efficiency
  • Support Business Development efforts by providing input into proposals and related budgets as well as representing OM1 in meetings with prospective clients
  • Attend off-site meetings and conferences, as needed

Requirements

  • BA/BS required; MPH or related degree preferred but not essential
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a health care and/or clinical research setting, including exposure to pharma services e.g., CROs or analytic services
  • Proven ability working independently with little guidance, anticipating next steps, and taking initiative in a project leadership role
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to complete complex tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Extremely organized; comfort with complex and inter-dependent workstreams
