Join Wefunder, Senator Brown, and Congressman McHenry to discuss the future of crowdfunding!  We're hosting the forum at Mass Challenge.

Congress is debating a reform of securities law that would allow equity-based crowdfunding.  Think Kickstarter... but for buying $100 of stock in a startup.

In a bipartisan 407-18 landslide, the House of Representatives has already passed the Entrepreneur Access to Capital Act, sponsored by Congressman McHenry. Debate has now moved on to the Senate, where, along with a competing Senate proposal, Senator Brown has introduced the Democratizing Access to Capital Act.

All bills share many similarities, but take different approaches to investor protection.  The Crowdfunding forum will discuss how to best protect small investors, while unlocking capital for entrepreneurs to create jobs, democratize investment opportunities, and grow our economy.
