Organization: Web Start Women

Location: Cambridge Innovation Center, 1 Broadway, 3rd Floor, Cambridge MA

Website: http://www.meetup.com/webstartwomen-boston/events/97108282/

This course picks up where our CSS Basics class left off - we'll explain positioning and layouts, probably the most challenging part of CSS. Practice is key to understanding layouts, so we'll work through exercises and examples that demonstrate each of the different techniques.

Whether you're relatively new to CSS, or you've had your fair share of trying to sort out terms such as float, fixed, relative, and absolute, we bet you'll walk away from this class saying, "I think I'm starting to really get this!"

Pre-requisites: An understanding of HTML and knowledge of how to use CSS to style HTML elements. If you've had our CSS Basics course, you're set! Not sure if you are ready? Try this 3-question quiz!

Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm (Doors open at 6:00pm to get a good seat, grab a snack, and get set up)

Class 1 - February 14: Layout approaches

Class 2 - February 21: Fixed positioning

Class 3 - February 28: Absolute and relative positioning
