Meet the Instructor
Founder and CEO, Playrific
Serial entrepreneur Beth Marcus is a tech-industry veteran and the founder and CEO of Playrific, Inc., which provides young children with constantly refreshed, age-appropriate content, which reflects their likes and interests. The company offers its web and mobile apps direct-to-consumers and its curation capabilities to tablet manufacturers. It also licenses its media-publishing technology to brands and business partners as a quick and economical way to launch special-purpose mobile apps designed to engage – and draw insights from – young consumers. Prior to Playrific, Marcus founded Zeemote, Inc., where she designed, manufactured, marketed and licensed wireless controller technology and products for mobile devices. Marcus received a Master of Science (SM) and a Bachelor of Science (SB) in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. She received a PhD in Biomechanics from the Imperial College, London, where she was a Marshall Scholar.
