Presenter:  Andrew Joseph, Founder and President

A technology company veteran with 20+ years of experience Andrew is one of the founders of TenMarks, and drives the go-to-market strategy for the company.  Andrew has been an executive at many early stage technology companies, and successfully managed business and corporate development for enterprise and consumer software companies. Past roles have included VP of Corporate and Business Development for Corel, CEO at Outerlink, VP of Sales and Marketing at Open Orders (acq by IBM), VP of Business Development at CommercialWare (acq by Micros) and Vice President at ProfitLogic (acq. By Oracle).  Andrew frequently receives the best advice on how to make math learning effective from his two elementary school aged daughters which were his inspiration for starting TenMarks.

Playsmrt is a safe, easy to use and engaging place on the web for children 1-6 years old.  Playsmrt is an interactive environment in which children can access curated educational content, age appropriate movies and videos, art activities, games and more.  It’s like combining Hulu, Tivo and Starfall, in one place.  It aggregates parent approved content up into one convenient consolidated site.   Easy for Parents to manage and simple and fun for their child to independently access the best and most appropriate content for children from broad range of parent and teacher recommended places on the web.  Parents choose and kids safely use – it’s that simple.  Playsmrt’s business model is a SAAS solution sold direct to consumers and through partnerships.

Presenter: Beth Marcus, founder and CEO

Beth has been Founder and CEO of several successful startups, most notably EXOS, Inc., which was venture capital backed and sold to Microsoft in 1996.  Since then she has been involved in 20 start-ups in a variety of fields as a founder, investor, or advisor. She was an advisor and investor in Leap Frog and has been involved in entertainment and mobile companies.  Beth is an acknowledged expert in the hand-device interface space and has been an expert in support of prior patent litigations. Beth is the parent of a 6-year-old Playsmrt lover.
