Honing Your Voice: Effective Public Speaking for Entrepreneurs Instructor: Dave Rini From
presenting at a board meeting, to demonstrating a product to potential
investors, or giving an elevator pitch for your business at a networking
event, good public speaking skills are "must-haves" for any
entrepreneur. This
class focuses on the basics of effective public speaking: eye
contact, breath control, preparation, body language, word choice, and
volume. Whether speaking to a group of 1000+ or to an audience of one,
this class will use small group exercises and large group discussion to
allow participants an opportunity to improve their speaking skills in a
low-pressure, supportive environment. You'll learn: About the Instructor Dave Rini is a speaker and advocate who works with a variety of organizations looking
at different mechanisms to make Boston a more attractive city for
a diverse population. Dave has taught public speaking seminars for
organizations including Boston University, Delta Lambda Phi, Socializing
for Justice, and Third Sector New England. Dave also served as a
climate messenger for former vice-president Al Gore’s Climate Project.
