This is the third class in the April Sales Class Series.
Inside sales is a sales technique that involves outbound inquiries, often via phone or email. A salesperson will use various techniques to close a sale remotely (i.e. without an in-person meeting). Phil Chartland, a seasoned education sales pro with experience in both K-12 and higher ed sales, will teach you the ins and outs of inside sales and how to maximize your time and budget to grow your startup.

This class will be highly interactive and limited to 30 students to ensure that you have ample time to interact with the instructors and your peers. The class is geared toward edtech and learning startups, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Meet the Instructor
VP Sales, Ellevation
Phil is Vice President of Sales for Ellevation, a Boston-based SaaS startup focused on supporting K-12 educators working with English Language Learners. Prior to this role, Phil served as Vice President of Higher Education Sales & Channel Development for Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning programs, where he rapidly improved the division's performance, growing year-over-year revenue 5% in 2013, despite a 21% revenue decline the year before. In addition to his K-12 and higher ed institutional sales leadership experience, he spent several years selling market research and consulting services to education businesses for Edvuentures. Phil began his career as a teacher and athletic director at The American School in Switzerland and holds a BA in Psychology from Harvard University.
