Curious about HTML 5? Learn how to use the APIs that are part of the new HTML5 specification to create the next generation of web sites. Students will learn how to deliver target content based on geolocation, how to save advanced cookie data on a visitor's computer, and experiment with other features like drag and drop and the canvas.
Students will create web pages with JavaScript code that uses the HTML 5 APIs available in modern browers. Examples will include displaying weather forecasts and other targeted content based on the user's location, and JQuery plugins for HTML 5 media players, photo lightboxes, and UI widgets.
