Investing in start-ups is a high risk business. Rising valuations and other factors have made it more difficult for VCs to see successful returns and the majority of start-ups will fail. The odds are stacked against the entrepreneur. However, seed accelerators and seed capital have emerged as a newer investment model that has been able to take advantage of the changing dynamics of cheaper than ever start-up conditions for entrepreneurs and increased M&A activity for start-ups.
