Starting in 2011, the first of 78 million baby boomers will reach age 65. At a rate of 8,000 Americans turning 65 each day, this will be nothing short of a silver tsunami. Due to their sheer numbers, affluence and technology savvy, they will have a profound impact on healthcare and aging services.
There is no shortage of technology evolving to address the aging market, but it is becoming clear that the winners will be the solutions that are easy to access, designed to interoperate with others to form a complete solution for the client, and combine well with delivery services.
Keynote Laurie Orlov, is a premier industry analyst and founder of Aging in Place Technology Watch, a research firm dedicated to providing thought leadership, analysis, and guidance on technologies and services that enable boomers and seniors to remain longer in their home of choice. Orlov will share her insights and introduce us to “Margaret”, a real world case study that will help attendees fully understand the challenges and opportunities for technology companies interested in the delivery of home healthcare solutions.
Thought provoking sessions will follow where attendees will learn from industry leaders about the cutting edge technology trends, products and services that are present today, and explore those that will define the future. Through interactive discussions, panelists will take a deeper dive into the opportunities and challenges for technology companies interested in launching or growing in the home healthcare space. Attendees will gain new perspectives, real life examples, and best practices they can bring back to their business to help enable Aging in Place.
