I'm a recent graduate and have been trying to figure out the right professional path for myself. I began working on a forecasting project recently when proprietor in NYC experienced a significant increase in operations and approached me to follow his business trends in order to help him prepare for temporary short-term staffing needs and minimize his labour costs. It would be great to communicate with data scientists who may have great suggestions regarding forecasting methods. Additionally, I would love to make connections with seasons data scientists who I might be able to communicate with regarding my professional developments in the long-run, who can equally benefit from keeping in touch with me.

I believe that most meet-ups have been driven by topics that are highly technical and I have a great appreciation for that. I also have a lot to learn so I look forward to future meet-ups of that capacity. At the same time, I'm looking for a job and am sure that a meet-up for professional introductions will be great for members like me and potential mentors who can benefit from this interaction.
