David Wood, Three Round Stones: Demos from "Linked Data" - An upcoming book for Web developers.
"Linked Data" is an upcoming book from Manning that presents the
Linked Data model in plain, jargon-free language to Web developers.
Written for Web developers by Web developers, this book requires no
previous exposure to Linked Data technologies.
This talk will demonstrate two code examples from the book: A
Friend-of-a-Friend (FOAF) generator in JavaScript and an example of
using Linked Open Data to create a weather reporting service for any ZIP
code.
"Linked Data" (http://manning.com/dwood/)
is now available via the Manning Early Access Program (MEAP) and is
expected in print during Summer 2013. The book is being written by
David Wood, Marsha Zaidman and Luke Ruth, with assistance by Michael
Hausenblas.
David Wood is co-chair of the W3C RDF Core working group, and CTO of Three Rounds Stones
