With a rapid growth in mobile technology and infrastructure in the previous decade, the field of medicine is looking to capitalize upon the integration of the internet and mass digital options to improve patient care and access.
This program will aim to identify areas of focus in the realms of digital health and mHealth, while also demonstrating both successes and failures that have recently come to light in this fast moving market.

Timothy Dy Aungst, PharmD, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University, and clinical pharmacist in cardiology at UMass Hospital. He is passionate about the role of digital health and mHealth in the field of medicine and pharmacy practice. His primary interests include the use of wearables for patient data collection in ambulatory management, and use of devices and apps in medication monitoring and adherence. Janice McCallum is Managing Director of Health Content Advisors, a consulting firm that advises companies on business models for creating, sharing and commercializing healthcare data. She is a respected thought leader in the digital transformation of the healthcare industry and has been actively involved in creating and marketing information products for over thirty years. She has held senior-level product management and content development positions in pioneering information companies and now consults to healthcare IT and publishing companies.
