In its third year, the Tech Gives Back Day run by TUGG is looking to be bigger than last year's event which raised over $150,000. This year's opportunity for the Boston tech community to do a little good, taking place on October 10th, is hoping to raise over $200,000 for six different non-profit organizations.
While there are a large number of volunteers already signed up, there is still room for more startupers, entrepreneurs, and VCs to get involved or to give to this great cause. To do so, head to the Tech Gives Back Eventbrite page and sign up.
Tech Gives Back will be undertaking various different projects, from painting and cleaning to helping some non-profits with organization and support, at twenty-nine different volunteer sites spread throughout Greater Boston.
Not that helping the community isn't rewarding in its own right, but TUGG will be thanking all the volunteers involved in Tech Gives Back by throwing a MASSIVE party in the Seaport/Innovation (can we just use a clever acronym like SPIN at this point?) District starting in the afternoon of the 10th. With music, games, driving experiences from Ferrari and Lamborghini, food trucks, and libations, the after-party should be a fun way to end a day of hard work.
The day should be a great representation of all that is great about the Boston tech ecosystem, and, I surmise, the party that evening should be as well.
