Last year, J. Alain Ferry, his crew at RaceMenu, and MassChallenge organized a successful trip to Fenway for entrepreneurs, start-uppers, VCs, and other members of the innovation community. The event, labeled “Startup Sox", was a huge success. Some of the MassChallenge and RaceMenu folks even found a way to get involved in a MLB.com gameshow.
With last year's success, RaceMenu's Ferry and MassChallenge are bringing the tech/innovation community back to the Fenway bleachers for a Sox game against the Orioles on Thursday, August 29th.
This year's Startup Sox convenes at 5:00 at MassChallenge for a Boloco burrito and beer pre-game fiesta. A bus will then transport attendees over to Fenway so that 300 crazed techies/entrepreneurs/innovators can cheer on the Sox as they make a final push in this year's pennant race.
Tickets went on sale for the event on August 1st and will probably sell out quickly. There is a tiered pricing plan for tickets ("Ramen Entrepreneurs", "Funded Entrepreneurs", as well as an "Angels/VCs/Lawyers & BALLERS" tier). Each ticket includes food, drinks, and entry into the game. Bus tickets must be purchased separately. All ticket purchases are on the honor system.
You can purchase tickets and check out more info on the event HERE.
As a special deal, the first four people that tweet, "Check out this year's #StartupSox @VentureFizz @DBKeohane - http://ow.ly/nFBO5" will get a $10 discount code for their ticket.
