Recenlty, Apperian, the platform for securing and managing enterprise mobile apps, announced a new strategic partnership with IBM. Joining forces with one of the biggest technology companies in the world is another huge step towards Apperian becoming the "center of the enterprise mobility ecosystem."
The press release announcing the "tight integration between IBM MobileFirst mobile application platform, IBM Worklight and Apperian," stated, "Using a simple plugin, mobile application developers on the IBM Worklight platform can quickly and easily publish their apps with a single click, while gaining access to rich mobile app management capabilities that enable enterprises to manage and track app updates, apply security policies, manage testing and drive user adoption."
The move is big for Apperian but also highlights IBM's interest in creating a bigger splash in the mobile sector.
On the new partnership, the company's SVP of Business Development, Cimarron Buser said, "Apperian’s partnership with IBM validates our open API strategy for mobile app development platforms like Worklight to 'plug in' directly to our EASE platform." "We provide developers, IT teams, and line of business managers the freedom of choice to build and deploy apps for their enterprise," he added.
Additionally, Buser commented, "This partnership has also enabled Apperian and IBM to jointly offer a SaaS based "mobile development as a service" that allows government agency and commercial developers to easily and securely make new applications and versions available to an entire organization."
