Apperian, the Boston-based mobile application management company, announced today that it has launched its first completely free enterprise mobile app management product.
The company’s new MAM (Mobile App Management) platform, ApperianONE, is based on Apperian’s highly successful EASE platform.
With the free ApperianONE platform, a company can distribute and manage a single enterprise mobile app as well as unlimited publicly available apps for up to 100,000 employees.
The press release announcing the launch explained that the “first-of-its-kind program focuses on providing a risk-free way for businesses to experience a new and effective approach to mobility, one that is focused on easing the burden on organizations and providing users with a consumer-like experience.” The new product enables enterprises to use Apperian's cloud-based platform to distribute and manage one custom-built mobile app as well as an unlimited set of company-recommended public apps from a private and branded ‘app store’.
As companies strive to onboard more employees in BYOD programs and increase enterprise-app/key application adoption and usage, the risk free opportunity that Apperian is providing with their new free product may be a vital solution for companies struggling with the challenges of mobilizing a workforce.
Some key features of ApperianONE are designed to manage the full app lifecycle. Specifically, the product allows companies to access app-signing services, detailed usage reports, user feedback, as well as Apperian’s iOS App Remote Control that we covered in June.
In the press release, Apperian CEO David Patrick explained, "The device-centric approach to enterprise mobility management has run its course and failed to deliver app adoption benefits as-promised.”
"A new approach is needed,” he added, “and as the MAM pioneer, we want to simply remove all barriers and excuses and make our platform available to any organization that has made mobility a priority and is struggling at managing and deploying enterprise mobile apps.”
“We've powered world-class mobile deployments at some of the largest industry leading companies and we want to do that for others, risk-free,” Patrick said.
“ApperianONE will combat the unfortunate reality of the state of enterprise mobility and I firmly believe we have the solution to drive mobile adoption."
